Welcome back to week three of Hobson's Mailbag. Today's segment features a blast from the past. Enjoy
@PHUHobson I know there's history here, but which #Leafs captain do you think was the best for the franchise and why? Personal opinion.

In my opinion, the best Leafs captain comes down to either Wendel Clark or Dougie Gilmour. It's unbelievable hard to make the decision, but in the end, I believe Gilmour was the best captain in Leafs history. He was the definition of a player that didn't let his size overpower him. Though he stood at 5'10 and 175lb, Gilmour wore his heart on his sleeve and did whatever it took to win. He stood up for his teammates, and was also a real class act off the ice. He made players around him better, so in the end, I think Gilmour was the best captain in Leafs history.Q: Whatever happened to Nikolai Borschevsky? The guy who scored the game 7 OT winner against the Detroit Red Wings? -Brent B Kearns via Facebook
A: Good question. After his final season in Toronto, the injury bug hit him, and he saw his production dip. He eventually was traded to the Calgary Flames at the 1995 trade deadline, and after being scratched in all of the Flames' playoff games, he was released and eventually signed with the Dallas Stars for one final shot at the NHL, but was unfortunately slowed down with injuries once again. He left the NHL and signed with Kolner Haie of the DEL, and finished his playing career with Spartak. He is currently the head coach of Atlant Moscow Oblant of the KHL.
Q: Do you think the Leafs will be a better team in CORSI which in turn makes them a better tema of puck possesion? -Lincoln Burns-Hill via Facebook
A: Yes, I do. The Leafs were one of the worst teams last year possesion wise, and after bringing in analytics guru Kyle Dubas as assistant GM along with many other staff members that look at advanced stats rather than goals and assists, you can expect that the Leafs will look better possesion wise. They brought in players such as Mark Arcobello and Martin Marincin who are both known for their possesion numbers, and players such as Tyler Bozak who are horrendous possesion wise will be brought down in the lineup. With all these changes, you can expect the Leafs to be a better possesion team.
