As Lightning fans still contemplate what may of caused a late 3rd period
meltdown last night, they probably have endured the social media posts
"Hawks Break Out Brooms" "Tampa Is Out Of Gas". I'm here to tell you
Lightning Fans, don't get too hasty here. If we look back at all the
playoff series we've played this year, they all have been tough series.
Do not get discouraged. This team has rallied around one another in the
past and in my opinion is one of the most resilient teams
in the NHL. The comeback in the Detroit series being down two goals
late in the third, to the game 7 shut out of the Rangers in MSG. If you
listen to the "experts" this team was not supposed to get past Detroit,
Montreal, or New York. Steve Yzerman said it best. "Patience." This is the
Stanley cup Finals. We still have 6 more games to play and I am feeling
all 6 remaining games are what will be needed to decide the series.
Positive notes from Game 1? We shut down the top 2 lines. We also saw
production from the Stamkos & Killorn pairing. We just need to play the
game on the attack and with speed like we have all season. Nashville
attacked the net early and often against Crawford and he ended up
getting yanked in that series so he has shown his weakness the Lightning
just need to play to their strengths. Give 'em hell in game two, boys.
